The Vessel

Well, this is just a little doodle. Im trying to see which style I like for my OC, her birth name was Sakkaki, but she became a vessel for the God of light at the age of 12. Now she is called 'Lumin'. Just like the goddess she embodies (literally).

This is a project my best friend *Lurockia and I are working on...and I will be doing more doodles of her in different styles, until I find which one I like best. So...look for more? I think im going to work on world sketches for now though, what her world looks like. I love landscapes.


Background: The current living Vessel. Being raised as a potential Vessel, she was brought up differently than the general population. She was not allowed to have much fun, everything was serious and at face value. Confined and conformed for most of her life, she lacks personality. She does not joke around, and is very serious about everything she does. Her mask is extremely ornate, and her robes are long, flowing, and intricate. She is surrounded with beauty and anything she could ever wish for, even though she does not notice. She is in essence, a living god of her world. And as such cares for her people in both a spiritual and physical sense.

She helps guide those in existence in her world, Casteri. This world is the result of 6 powerful gods slumbering. The world that Lumin and her people inhabit is literally their dream. The six gods create and destroy as they see fit, causing this world to be rather turbulant. It is Lumin's duty as leader to protect her people and help guide them in harmony. If the world of Casteri falls out of balance the gods will awaken and the dream will come to an end.

Mask: Known as a "Vessel Mask”, it is one of 5 masks destined only to the vessel's themselves. This mask is a white base with shimmering gold woven over top, like rays of light.

Hair color and style: White hair, long and the style is almost always different depending on her mood/dress.

Skin: Light

Eye: One eye is yellow to signify the god living inside her, and one eye is her natural blue.

Element: Lumin oversees 'light', a very powerful and needed aspect of her planet's make up. It not only brings life to the plants and animals, but it protects them against the darkness and chaos that threatens to engulf her world.
